AARP restaurant discounts: Denny’s and Cicis

By Graham Ellery · Official source information reviewed October 13, 2026

If you already belong to AARP, checking an eligible dining offer can be a quick habit. If you are considering joining, compare realistic savings with the membership cost first.

Membership matters here

These dining discounts require paid AARP membership and participating restaurants. They reduce a bill; they do not make the meal free. Read the offer details before ordering.

Paid membership required. These are AARP member offers, not free meals. AARP membership is available to younger adults too; these discounts are not exclusive to people 55 and older.

Denny’s: check the cap and order method

At participating locations, current AARP members receive 15% off eligible checks, with a maximum $10 discount per visit. Present your card with the check or give your membership number when ordering pickup by telephone. Online orders, alcohol, certain value meals, merchandise, and gift cards are excluded; the offer cannot combine with other promotions. Read AARP’s Denny’s offer.

Cicis: a dine-in offer

AARP members can receive 15% off eligible dine-in food purchases before tax at participating Cicis locations. Show your membership card with the check. Gift cards are excluded. Confirm participation and applicable items with the restaurant. Read AARP’s Cicis offer.

Do the small calculation first

For an eligible $30 food subtotal, 15% would save $4.50. That example assumes the whole subtotal qualifies and no further limit applies. Taxes, tips, excluded items, and membership costs remain. A percentage saving does not make an additional restaurant visit free.

Four questions before the meal

Ask before ordering so everyone at the table knows what to expect. At checkout, confirm the reduction on the bill. Compare it with any other available offer using the same meal and final cost.

Keep your routine enjoyable: use an offer when it fits a place you want to eat, a meal you want to order, and a price you are comfortable paying.

Provider terms, participation, and availability can change. Confirm the current offer directly before spending or making plans. This independent guide is not affiliated with or endorsed by the providers.
